ClASSES & EVents
I will likely be teaching a two hour morning session at KALS in Jan. 2019. (I did teach also in Fall 2019 and will likely teach again Fall 2020.) I taught the full six week Aging Reversal Course at Kamloops Adult Learners Society in the Fall of 2017 and a two hour course in the Winter of 2018. The response has been great. The class in Fall of 2020 will be one two hour session from 10 am to noon mid week. The focus will be Ayurvedic approaches for preventing the likelihood of, and mitigating various diseases. Diabetes, Stroke, Dementia etc. see www.kals.com for details Also I offer two hour introductory evening workshops to interested groups and yoga studios. A workshop on proper breathing (The Breath is the Pulse of the Mind) deals with worry etc. but also attracts athletes. Included are breathing exercises to vitalize and clear the mind (effortlessly). This workshop is based on the book High Energy Breathing. Flexibility and Health through Transdermal Spinal Massage is another popular workshop. email Paul Colver, jpaulcolver@gmail.com for details. |
Ayurveda as Support for Spiritual Practice. This is an evening workshop I put for Nanamio Metaphysical Network entitled AYURVEDA AND THE NEUROPHYSIOLOGY OF CONSCIOUSNESS; COURTING ENLIGHTENMENT THROUGH THE PHYSICAL.
Very well received. Another favourite is a workshop entitled The Breath is the Pulse of the Mind. How to deal with Anxiety, Anger, etc through natural breathing. A very popular evening workshop. Another a Full day workshop I offer: AN AYURVEDIC APPROACH TO HEALTH AND VITALITY WITH THE FOCUS ON DETERMINING EACH STUDENT'S BODY TYPE AND FOOD AND LIFE STYLE PREFERENCES. Be prepared to do a bit of cooking . |
I (Paul Colver) have returned (now four years ago) from traveling in South America and Central America and have moved to 'granddaughter land' in Kamloops, British Columbia. Kasandra Mannering had taught The Aging Reversal Course to full classes with waiting lists at VIU, Elder College, Parksville, and North Island College Comox. Kasandra is a great teacher and has certification via a 300 hour course in Ayurveda. She has recently decided to give full attention to her Ayurvedic Practice. Someone who loves teaching and has a background in Ayurveda would be very welcomed to teach at VIU. I taught the course 12 times to great response. Somehow huge numbers of super people show up for this course. I'm keen to teach in Kamloops - as I do each year at KALS. Yoga studios, social groups, health association, metaphysical groups, and others, are possible fits.
SPEAKERS, ORGANIZERS, SEEKERS, HEALERS, FITNESS FOLKS, COOKS - ALL ARE WELCOME.
